Photography
As a designer, my passion for photography runs deep, serving as both a creative outlet and a powerful tool in my craft. Within the realm of product photography, I strive to capture the essence of each item, highlighting its unique features and aesthetic appeal to enhance its presentation. Additionally, I utilize photography as a means of meticulous project documentation, visually narrating the journey from conception to completion, ensuring clarity and transparency in my process.
Beyond its practical applications, photography fuels my personal experimentation, allowing me to explore new perspectives, techniques, and visual narratives. Whether it's experimenting with composition, lighting, or post-processing, photography serves as a playground for creative exploration, enriching my design practice with fresh insights and inspirations.

Rogers Plaza Town Center | Rock & Mineral Show 2024
In my role as the volunteer Community Coordinator & Social Media Manager for the Rogers Plaza Town Center, I work closely with local businesses and the wider Wyoming community to create compelling posts and calls to action on their page. Recently, at the Indian Mounds Rock & Mineral Club: Rock and Mineral Show, I had the privilege of serving as the official photographer for the event.
At this event, all photographs were taken digitally using a Lumix G7 camera, capturing the unique characteristics of the vintage film lenses. My choice of the Helios 44 as the primary lens gave most of the images a distinctive aesthetic, evident in the beautifully swirled blurred backgrounds that this lens is known for. These ethereal dreamlike characteristics complemented the vibrant and mystical essence of the gems and minerals showcased at the event.

3:11 Youth Housing | Weekend For Good 2019
As we reflect upon the collaborative efforts poured into this noble cause, the collection of images serves as a compelling visual chronicle, encapsulating the spirit of Weekend for Good 2019 and the positive impact it had on 3:11 Youth Housing.
Employing a deliberate approach to storytelling through imagery, I opted for a creative blend of artistry and technical precision. All the photographs from this memorable undertaking were captured using vintage film lenses, mounted on a Nikon D5100. This choice not only added a distinct aesthetic quality but also required me to navigate the intricate nuances of full manual shooting, enhancing the authenticity and depth of each visual narrative.

Personal Film Work
My approach to my personal film photography stands apart from my other photographic work, adopting a more experimental mindset that highlights the unique challenges of using vintage equipment. Each frame I capture offers a glimpse into the nuanced process behind it.
For these personal projects, I primarily shoot with either a 1956 East German Ihagee Exa V4 35mm film camera paired with a Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 50mm lens, or a 1963 Yashica D 120mm twin-lens reflex camera. These iconic tools not only shape the visual character of my images but also introduce technical hurdles that deepen the creative experience.
