About Me
I'm Shawn Schwartz, a seasoned design, branding, and advertising professional with over a decade of experience in the industry. Throughout my career, I've honed my expertise in branding and design, particularly during my time at DealerOn and Damn Good Distributions.
As a Digital Designer at DealerOn, I led design initiatives for global clients such as Ford, Volkswagen, and General Motors. My design focus extended to encompass the strategic development and implementation of brand identities across various digital platforms, including social media, web, and interactive spaces. Leveraging my eye for design and deep understanding of branding principles, I crafted visually compelling advertising assets that resonated with our clients and reinforced their brand messaging. By collaborating closely with clients and internal teams, I facilitated seamless communication and alignment on brand vision and objectives.
Having earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, and possessing extensive experience in branding across a spectrum of industries including automotive, fashion, and e-liquid, I'm committed to delivering impactful work that elevate brands and drive business success.

...A little more about me
Outside of work, my interests diverge even further from my design capabilities. During most weekends in the summer, you'll find me immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of large regional car shows, proudly showcasing my fully electric Volkswagen e-Golf. Although I came to car culture relatively late, obtaining my driver's license at 24; I've more than made up for lost time. Becoming a familiar face with my EV in the West Michigan car scene, I've even taken a shot at the drag strip a couple of times.
Participating in these shows not only allows me to indulge in my passion for cars but also provides an opportunity to engage in one of my greatest joys, teaching. As an advocate for electric vehicles, I relish the chance to share my knowledge with others. Effectively conveying information about EVs requires a nuanced approach. I must gauge the technical understanding of my audience on the fly and tailor my explanations accordingly. It's a rewarding challenge to ensure that my message resonates with the diverse range of individuals who attend these events.
I'm also quite handy with a toolbelt. From hanging drywall to refinishing vintage furniture, I've tackled a variety of projects with skill and finesse learning new skills as I go. If something is broken, let me have a look at it, and I'll likely be able to fix it. In fact, I even put my handy skills to use for the betterment of my community. For instance, I took the initiative to construct my very own Little Free Library for the neighborhood (#176067), providing a communal space for people to share and enjoy books and videos. This tiny space fosters a sense of community, promotes literacy, and encourages exploration for all who participate. My hands-on approach extends beyond design, allowing me to bring creativity and problem-solving to every aspect of my life.
